Eco Awareness Day and Fashion Fest 2023

Manitoba Eco-Awareness Day and Fashion Fest is a province-wide contest, encouraging students to create striking works of wearable art from recyclable materials.

Sponsored by Multi-Material Stewardship Manitoba.

Fashion Fest aims to inspire and ignite passion in students while educating them about the importance of recycling and reusing.

The challenge is to rework recyclable items into one-of-a-kind fashion designs. All materials used must either be blue-bin recyclable (visit https://simplyrecycle.ca/recyclepedia for a full list of items eligible for blue-bin recycling in your municipality) or otherwise re-useable. Finalists will be invited to wear their designs at the Fashion Fest

Friday, May 5, 2023 at CF Polo Park.

There will be environmental booths set up at the event for students to learn about recycling and more. All students grades K-12 in Manitoba are welcome to participate. Students may enter as an individual or as a team of up to three students in your grade category.  One finalist from each grade and material category will be selected to compete for the grand prize.
