Take Pride Winnipeg Creativity Contest: "What Goes In The Bin?"

Take Pride Winnipeg and Multi-Material Stewardship Manitoba present:

"What Goes In The Bin?" Creativity Contest for Manitoba students!

There are four ways to enter:

Using MMSM’s Recyclepedia https://simplyrecycle.ca/recyclepedia as your guide to what items *can be recycled* in your area:

1.     Create a Recycling Diary:  Keep a record for one month of what you recycle and dispose of.  Tell us what you put into recycling and goes into trash.  

(If you also compost, add that to your diary).  (Open to all grades)

2.     Create a collage or drawing about recycling. (Open to all grades)

3.     Make a short video (under 5 minutes) about the importance of recycling. (Open to all grades)

4.     Write a short story about how recycling helps the planet. The story should be 500 to 1000 words. (Open to grades 4-12)

The contest runs from March 14th to April 29th, 2022.

Contest winners will receive prizes from Manitoba organizations such as:  Winnipeg Goldeyes, Manitoba Museum, Winnipeg Art Gallery, Assiniboine Park Zoo, and Oak Hammock Marsh as examples.

In addition:

Winners of the video and short story category will have the opportunity to show their video or read their story on CTV Morning Live!

There will also be three prizes of Staples gift cards awarded to teachers for classroom supplies!
