FOLLOW THE LEADER
Celebrate a piece of Manitoba heritage this morning in Morris!
Follow the Leader is located at Bigway Grocers, 654 Main Street South. Morris MB.
The mural, entitled Follow the Leader, highlights the main events held at the Stampede each year—bull riding, barrel racing, calf roping and chuck wagon racing. Most of these photographs are taken from the archives found at the Museum in Morris and some represent the importance of the Stampede today. The mural design shows the growth of the events through the years, from a few benches to the building of the grandstands in 1964.
Follow the Leader was created by muralist Sarah Collard, with assistance from Manny Wiebe and Mason MacIvor. Sarah is an accomplished artist who now makes her home in Morris.
