Unleash Your Flower Power!
The Home Depot presents Flower Power 2013, Take Pride Winnipeg!'s 16th annual Winnipeg in Bloom Contest. This is a FREE contest held for all properties in the city of Winnipeg. Front yard properties are judged based on curb appeal, innovative features and property cleanliness.
"We know that there are many amazing gardens in Winnipeg, but they need to contact us to enter, because we can't drive down every street looking for them," says Tom Ethans, executive director. "We want to celebrate their efforts and the fabulous curb appeal they add to city streets. Don't be shy—enter today!"
Judging categories include business and residential, community efforts, apartment blocks and condominiums. Property owners may enter themselves, or nominate a neighbour with a green thumb. The entry deadline is July 12, 2013. Judging will occur during the month of July, with the awards celebration held in August at Rainbow Stage. Prizes include gift cards and merchandise provided by The Home Depot.
